Pay: £140 - £240 per day (dependent on experience)

Spencer Clarke Group are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Chorley who are seeking an experienced and passionate SEND Class Teacher to join their team from January 2025 on a full-time basis.

The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), a confident understanding of adaptive teaching, and the ability to plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons that meet the individual needs of every pupil.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons that meet the needs of pupils with a range of SEND.

• Adapt teaching methods and materials to ensure accessibility and engagement for all learners.

• Take full responsibility for a class, including lesson planning, assessment, and pupil progress tracking.

• Work collaboratively with the SENCO, teaching assistants, and external professionals to provide targeted support.

• Take part in all aspects of school life including parent consultations, staff meetings, report writing, and school events.

• Meet deadlines effectively and work well under pressure while maintaining high professional standards.

• Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes pupil achievement and well-being.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

• Proven experience teaching pupils with SEND, ideally in a primary setting.

• Excellent understanding of adaptive teaching and differentiated learning.

• Strong teamwork, organisational, and communication skills.

• A reflective, dedicated, and resilient approach to teaching.
