SEND Class Teacher - Primary School

Pay: £140 - £240 per day (dependent on experience)
Spencer Clarke Group are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Chorley who are seeking an experienced and passionate SEND Class Teacher to join their team from January 2025 on a full-time basis.
The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), a confident understanding of adaptive teaching, and the ability to plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons that meet the individual needs of every pupil.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons that meet the needs of pupils with a range of SEND.
Adapt teaching methods and materials to ensure accessibility and engagement for all learners.
Take full responsibility for a class, including lesson planning, assessment, and pupil progress tracking.
Work collaboratively with the SENCO, teaching assistants, and external professionals to provide targeted support.
Take part in all aspects of school life including parent consultations, staff meetings, report writing, and school events.
Meet deadlines effectively and work well under pressure while maintaining high professional standards.
Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes pupil achievement and well-being.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Proven experience teaching pupils with SEND, ideally in a primary setting.
Excellent understanding of adaptive teaching and differentiated learning.
Strong teamwork, organisational, and communication skills.
A reflective, dedicated, and resilient approach to teaching.
