SEND Caseworker - Merseyside (Hybrid, 2 Days On-Site)

We're looking for an experienced SEND Caseworker to join a local authority team in the Merseyside area. This is a hybrid role, requiring 2 days in the office each week, during which you will travel across the region visiting schools and supporting children and young people with SEND.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of children and young people with SEND, supporting statutory processes including EHCP assessments and annual reviews.
  • Liaise with parents, schools, health professionals, and multi-agency partners to ensure timely and effective support.
  • Draft and amend EHCPs, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and compliance with statutory guidance.
  • Monitor and review provision, supporting children's progress and outcomes.
  • Contribute to quality assurance and compliance within the SEND team.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a SEND Caseworker or EHCP Coordinator in a local authority setting.
  • Knowledge of the Children & Families Act 2014 and SEND Code of Practice 2015.
  • Willingness to travel across Merseyside for school visits.
