Behaviour Support Assistant
SEN Teaching Assistant

1. Behaviour Support Assistant
If you have a calm and patient nature and enjoy working with pupils who display challenging behaviour or Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, this could be the role for you.
You'll be providing 1:1 and small group support, helping pupils to regulate emotions, build resilience, and engage positively in school life.
What you'll be doing:
Supporting pupils with SEMH or behavioural challenges.
Using de-escalation strategies and restorative approaches.
Encouraging positive choices and promoting self-confidence.
Assisting teachers in delivering tailored interventions.
What we're looking for:
Experience supporting young people with SEMH or behaviour needs (school, care or youth work settings).
Calm, confident and empathetic communication.
A proactive attitude and genuine passion for supporting others.
2. SEN Teaching Assistant
If your strengths lie in patience, empathy, and understanding, this SEN Teaching Assistant role could be the perfect fit.
You'll be working closely with pupils with Autism (ASC), ADHD, learning difficulties, or emotional needs, helping them to thrive both academically and personally.
What you'll be doing:
Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups within the classroom.
Helping to deliver differentiated lessons and interventions.
Promoting independence, confidence, and positive learning habits.
Collaborating with teachers, parents and the SENCO to ensure consistency.
What we're looking for:
Experience supporting children or young people with SEND (any setting).
Calm, nurturing and patient approach to behaviour and learning.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification desirable, but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
