Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant - Bolton | Immediate Start
Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are currently seeking a committed Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive SEN secondary school in Bolton, with an immediate start available.
About the Role:
As a Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students with a range of additional needs, helping them to access learning and develop independence in a structured and supportive environment. You will work closely with teachers and SEN professionals to provide tailored support both in class and on a 1:1 or small group basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide dedicated support to students with SEN, including autism, ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs
- Assist in the implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
- Support students in accessing the secondary curriculum across a range of subjects
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, and parents/carers

- Experience working with children or young people with SEN (secondary school experience desirable)
- A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills
- A genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve their potential
