Are you an experienced and compassionate Teaching Assistant looking to support secondary-aged students with complex special educational needs?

We are recruiting for a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a specialist setting in Stockport, supporting secondary-age pupils with a range of complex needs.

This role is initially offered through an agency, with potential for longer-term opportunities for the right candidate.

The Role:

• Supporting students with complex SEND needs

• Working 1:1 and in small groups

• Assisting with differentiated and personalised learning programmes

• Supporting communication, sensory and emotional regulation needs

• Providing personal care, including toileting and hygiene support where required

• Encouraging independence, dignity and confidence

• Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals

The Ideal Candidate:

• Proven experience working with secondary-aged students with complex needs

• Comfortable and experienced in providing personal care

• Calm, patient and resilient

• Strong behaviour management and communication skills

• Experience within a specialist SEN school or alternative provision is highly desirable

• Relevant TA qualification (Level 2/3 or equivalent) is advantageous
