SEN Teaching Assistant
Based in Haydock
Full-time | Term-time only

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive educational setting in the Haydock area. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with Special Educational Needs, helping them to achieve their full potential both academically and socially.
The Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs (including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties)
Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
Support pupils with behaviour regulation and emotional wellbeing
Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and EHCP targets
Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
Monitor and record pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school or care setting preferred)
Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) desirable but not essential
