SEN Teaching Assistant

Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant - PRU & SEMH
Location: Rochdale
Contract: Full Time, Term Time Only
Start Date: ASAP
Essential: Must be a driver with own vehicle

We are recruiting a resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils across primary and secondary PRU sites in Rochdale. Due to working across multiple locations, a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential.

You will support pupils with SEMH needs, challenging behaviour, trauma-related needs, ADHD and ASD, helping them re-engage with education in a structured and supportive environment.

The Role:

• 1:1 and small group support

• Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour management

• Implementing behaviour support plans

• Working closely with teaching and pastoral teams

We Are Looking For:

• Experience in PRU, SEMH or alternative provision

OR transferable experience from:

• Youth work

• Residential care

• Support work

• Behaviour mentoring

Essential Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle

• Enhanced DBS with Children's Barred List check (or willingness to obtain one)

• Right to work in the UK

• Up-to-date CV with full employment history and no gaps
