SEN Teaching Assistant

Teaching Assistants - Secondary SEN School (Rochdale)

A welcoming and supportive secondary SEN school in Rochdale is seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our team as soon as possible.

You will be supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including but not limited to autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health needs. The role is both rewarding and varied, working closely with teachers and other professionals to help pupils thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups

• Assisting with classroom activities and learning programmes

• Helping pupils to develop confidence, independence and positive behaviour

• Supporting emotional regulation and communication needs

• Working collaboratively as part of a committed SEN team

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Experience working with children or young people with additional needs (desirable but not essential)

• A patient, caring and resilient approach

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• A genuine passion for supporting pupils with SEN
