SEN Teaching Assistant - Specialist Provision (Preston, Lancashire)

🕒 Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday (08:30am - 15:30pm), Term Time Only
💰 Pay: £106 - £115 per day (dependent on experience)
We are recruiting a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist education provision in Preston. This full-time role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people with a range of additional needs, including complex and physical needs.
You will work with students on a 1:1 basis as well as in small groups, helping them access learning, develop key skills, and feel supported throughout the school day. Personal care will be part of the role, so the ideal candidate should be confident and comfortable providing hands-on support where required.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs
Assist small groups in accessing tailored learning activities
Support with personal care routines as required
Promote independence, emotional regulation, and positive behaviour
Implement individual education and care plans
Work collaboratively with teachers and wider support teams
Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
Requirements:
Must hold an Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (UDS) or be willing to apply and pay for one
Must have 24 months of employment references with no large gaps in employment history
Experience supporting individuals with additional needs (personal or professional) is desirable
