Are you a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding long-term role? Spencer Clarke Group is working closely with a fantastic specialist provision in Blackley, and we are seeking an enthusiastic practitioner to join their team as soon as possible.
About the Role
In this long-term position, you will support secondary-aged pupils with Special Educational Needs and complex needs, helping them to access learning, develop life skills, and reach their full potential. You will work alongside an experienced team of teachers, therapists and support staff who are committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with a range of SEN and complex needs
Implement personalised learning plans and behaviour support strategies
Assist with communication, emotional regulation and sensory needs
Work collaboratively with teaching staff and external professionals
Promote independence, confidence and positive self-esteem in students
Maintain a safe, structured and supportive learning environment
Requirements
Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN/complex needs (essential)
Understanding of SEMH, ASD, PMLD or other additional needs
Ability to build trust, show patience and remain resilient
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Strong communication and teamwork skills
