SEN Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a caring and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Burnley. You will support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and challenging behaviour, helping them to achieve their full potential in a safe and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one and small group support for children with SEN/SEMH needs
Support learning across the curriculum in line with individual plans
Implement strategies to manage challenging behaviour effectively
Work closely with teachers and staff to promote positive outcomes
Build strong relationships with children and contribute to a supportive classroom environment
Requirements:
Experience supporting children with SEN, SEMH, and challenging behaviour
Relevant qualification in SEN, education, or childcare is desirable
Flexible for part-time or full-time hours
Patience, adaptability, and strong communication skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
