Are you a compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic individual with experience supporting young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
A welcoming secondary SEN school in Rochdale is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.
About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support students aged 11-16 with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, and communication difficulties.
Provide 1:1 and small group support to help pupils access the curriculum and achieve their personal learning goals.
Assist with implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies.
Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages independence and self-confidence.
Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for every learner.
About You:
You have previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN, ideally within a school or alternative provision setting.
You are calm, adaptable, and passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning.
You're a reliable team player with strong communication skills.
Any relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, SEND training, Team Teach) are desirable but not essential.
