Location: Wythenshawe, Manchester
Position: Full-Time, ASAP Start
Working Hours: 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM

We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a Secondary Provision in Wythenshawe. This is a full-time, immediate start position, ideal for someone with a passion for supporting young people with Special Educational Needs, and who is comfortable providing personal care when required.
Key Responsibilities:
Support students with a range of Special Educational Needs, both academically and emotionally.
Assist with personal care needs of students, including feeding, toileting, and mobility assistance.
Work closely with the class teacher to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and strategies tailored to the student's needs.
Provide 1:1 support to students who require additional help in class or during activities.
Promote independence and encourage positive behaviours both in the classroom and during break times.
Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the welfare and progress of students.
What we are looking for:
Previous experience supporting students with SEN, preferably in a secondary school setting.
A caring, patient, and understanding approach, with a focus on student welfare.
Comfortable with providing personal care where required (training can be provided if needed).
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Understanding of safeguarding procedures and how to support students with complex needs.
Ideally, a Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent).
