We're looking for a caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a small, nurturing independent school in the Stockport area. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in helping young people grow in confidence, independence, and resilience.

The Role

As part of a friendly and supportive team, you'll work alongside teachers and tutors to deliver personalised learning experiences tailored to each pupil's unique strengths and needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support in the classroom

• Assisting in lesson preparation and classroom organisation

• Encouraging pupils to engage with learning through creative, structured approaches

• Promoting emotional wellbeing, positive behaviour, and personal development

• Supporting the implementation of safeguarding and school policies

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

• Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic about helping children succeed

• Able to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team

• Experienced or knowledgeable in supporting pupils with autism or complex needs (desirable)

• Committed to upholding the highest standards of care and safeguarding
