SEN Teaching Assistant

We are recruiting dedicated and resilient SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional needs across primary schools in Blackburn. Positions are available on both a full-time and part-time basis, with flexibility to work in EYFS, KS1 or KS2 depending on your preference.

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous experience working in a school or directly with children is essential

• A relevant qualification such as Level 2/3 in Teaching and Learning, Childcare or SEN support is preferred

• Experience supporting pupils with SEN, SEMH or challenging behaviour is highly desirable

• Confident working 1:1 or with small groups to deliver personalised support

• Able to stay calm under pressure and use positive behaviour strategies

• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
