SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking patient, resilient and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to support children with additional needs in primary schools across Lancaster. Full-time and part-time positions are available, with the flexibility to choose your preferred age group - EYFS, KS1 or KS2.

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous experience working in a school or directly with children is essential

• A relevant qualification such as Level 2/3 in Teaching and Learning, Childcare or SEN support is preferred

• Experience supporting pupils with SEN, SEMH or challenging behaviour is highly desirable

• Ability to build trust and provide 1:1 or small group support

• Calm, adaptable and confident in using positive behaviour strategies

• Able to follow individual learning or behaviour plans set by the class teacher or SENCO

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
