Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant - Specialist Provisions

Location: Skelmersdale, Ormskirk & Southport
Hours: Monday to Friday, Term Time Only
Pay: £106 - £115 per day
Contract: Long-Term

The Role:
We are looking for compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to work within specialist provisions across the Skelmersdale, Ormskirk and Southport areas. This is a fantastic opportunity to support children and young people with a range of additional needs, ensuring they receive the care, encouragement and guidance they need to thrive both in and out of the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs.

  • Assist with learning activities, behaviour management, and social development.

  • Support pupils with their personal care needs in a respectful and professional manner.

  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to create a safe and engaging learning environment.

  • Promote independence, confidence, and well being among pupils.

Requirements:

  • Personal or professional experience supporting individuals with additional needs.

  • Enhanced Child DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply and cover the cost of a new one).

  • Minimum of 24 months of employment references with no significant gaps in employment.

  • Availability Monday to Friday, term time only.
