SEN Teacher - Secondary SEN School (Rochdale)
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join a specialist Secondary SEN School in Rochdale, supporting pupils working at P Levels.
This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced or aspiring SEN teacher who is committed to delivering high-quality, inclusive education to pupils with complex and profound learning needs within a nurturing and well-resourced environment.
The Role:
Planning and delivering creative, engaging, and highly differentiated lessons for pupils working at P Levels
Creating a structured, safe, and stimulating learning environment tailored to individual needs
Supporting pupils with a range of complex needs, including severe learning difficulties, communication needs, and sensory processing needs
Using a multi-sensory approach to support learning and development
Working closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals
Monitoring and assessing progress in line with individual education plans (EHCPs)
Promoting independence, communication, and life skills
The Ideal Candidate:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)
Experience working with pupils with SEN, particularly those working at P Levels (highly desirable)
Strong understanding of differentiated and multi-sensory teaching approaches
Patient, nurturing, and adaptable teaching style
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
A genuine passion for supporting pupils with complex learning needs
