SEMH Teaching Assistant - Longsight
Location: Longsight
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We're looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team in Longsight.
What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting students with SEMH needs in and out of the classroom.
  • Assisting teachers with learning activities, behaviour management, and pastoral care.
  • Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils to help them thrive.
  • Encouraging independence, resilience, and emotional wellbeing.


What we're looking for:

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs (school or care setting).
  • Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A genuine passion for helping young people reach their potential.
