Spencer Clarke Group are working in partnership with secondary schools across the Preston area to recruit Cover Supervisors for both part-time and full-time opportunities.
This role offers flexible, ad hoc work with the potential to secure longer-term placements based on your performance and the needs of the school.


The role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-set work in the absence of the classroom teacher, ensuring students remain on task and maintaining a positive learning environment. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain classroom experience or those seeking flexible work within education.


Key responsibilities:

  • Supervising whole classes during teacher absences
  • Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Ensuring students complete the work set
  • Providing feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour


What we are looking for:

  • Experience working with young people (school-based experience is desirable but not essential)
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • A confident and adaptable approach
  • A genuine interest in supporting students' learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
