School Support Worker
Location: Chorley
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: £107 - £115 per day (dependent on experience)
Hours: 08:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Contract: Term Time Only
We are currently recruiting a reliable and committed School Support Worker to work within a school setting in the Chorley area. This role involves supporting primary and secondary aged students, helping them to access education, manage behaviour and engage positively throughout the school day.
The Role:
Providing 1:1 and small group support to students
Supporting pupils with additional needs, including behavioural and emotional needs
Assisting with classroom activities and transitions throughout the school day
Working closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams
Helping to create a safe, supportive and structured learning environment
Requirements:
Previous experience working with children or young people (education, care or support roles desirable)
Must be able to drive and travel locally within the Chorley area
Experience working within specialist or SEN settings is desirable
Minimum of 24 months employment history, with no significant gaps
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (Child Workforce), or willingness to apply and pay for one
Reliable, flexible and committed to supporting young people
