Pay: £106 - £115 per day (dependent on hours worked)

We are recruiting School Support Workers to join specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) provisions in and around the Birkenhead area. These provisions support both primary and secondary-aged students with additional needs, including SEN, who may display challenging behaviours.
This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals with experience in care, support work, youth work, or similar backgrounds, who want to make a difference in the lives of children and young people.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide behaviour and learning support to pupils with SEMH and SEN needs.
Support students 1:1 and in small groups to encourage engagement and progress.
Assist with behaviour management, remaining calm and consistent in challenging situations.
Work closely with teaching staff and other professionals to deliver tailored support.
Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing school environment.
Essential Requirements:
Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply and pay for one).
A minimum of 24 month's professional employment references with no major gaps in the last 5 years.
Must provide a valid Right to Work document, an in-date photo ID, and two proofs of address.
Must be able to drive or be happy to travel via public transport to schools across the Preston area.
