School Site Supervisor

School Caretaker (Key Holder)

Location: Tunbridge Wells, TN9
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 1:00pm
Total Hours: 25 hours per week
Contract: Temp to Perm
Start Time: Immediate / ASAP

We are seeking a reliable and experienced School Caretaker to work at a school in Tunbridge Wells (TN9). This is a temp-to-perm position with the opportunity to extend the working day up to 6 hours, subject to school requirements.

The successful candidate will be a key holder, responsible for opening the site and ensuring the school is safe, secure, and ready for staff and pupils each day.

Key Responsibilities

• Unlocking and opening the school site daily at 7:00am

• Carrying out morning health & safety checks

• Ensuring the premises are safe, secure, and fully operational

• Minor maintenance and basic repairs

• Monitoring site security and reporting any issues

• Liaising with school staff and contractors as required

• Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations

Essential Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

• Previous experience working in a school caretaker role or a very similar environment

• Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check

• Ability to provide satisfactory references

• Strong understanding of site security and health & safety

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
