School Site Supervisor

School Site Supervisor - Preston
Pay: £17.50 per hour
Hours: 6:30am-10am and 3pm-6pm (split Shift)

We are seeking an experienced and dependable School Site Supervisor to join a busy school environment in Preston. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the overall maintenance, security, and smooth running of the school site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day management of the school buildings and grounds

• Carry out general maintenance and minor repairs (carpentry, plumbing, painting, basic electrical work)

• Ensure the site is clean, safe, and well-presented at all times

• Open and lock the school premises, ensuring proper security procedures are followed

• Monitor and manage heating, lighting, and alarm systems

• Conduct regular health & safety checks, including risk assessments and compliance checks

• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and external agencies when required

• Support school events and activities by setting up rooms and moving equipment

• Respond to emergency maintenance issues promptly

Requirements:

• Experience working in a school or similar setting is essential

• Proven maintenance skills across a range of trades

• Strong understanding of site safety, health & safety procedures, and safeguarding

• Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently

• Good communication and organisational skills

• Willing and able to complete reference and enhanced DBS checks

• Flexible approach to working hours when needed
