About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a reliable and proactive School Site Assistant to join one of our welcoming schools in Stockport. This is a full-time role with an immediate start, perfect for someone who enjoys practical work and takes pride in maintaining a safe and well-kept environment.
The successful candidate will support the day-to-day management of the school premises, helping ensure the site is safe, secure, and fully operational for staff, students, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
Opening and closing the school site when required
Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs
Ensuring school buildings and grounds are clean, tidy, and safe
Supporting with deliveries, furniture moves, and classroom setups
Monitoring site security and reporting any issues
Carrying out basic health and safety checks
Liaising with contractors when required
What We're Looking For
Previous caretaker, site assistant, facilities, or maintenance experience (school experience desirable but not essential)
Basic DIY and practical maintenance skills
A proactive and reliable approach
Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively
Good understanding of health and safety procedures
An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
