Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised School Exams Officer to join our team in Leyland. The successful candidate will manage and coordinate all aspects of internal and external examinations, ensuring that exams run smoothly, accurately, and in compliance with examination board regulations. This role requires previous experience as an Exams Officer, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
Organise, coordinate, and administer internal and external examinations.
Maintain accurate student exam records and ensure compliance with exam board regulations.
Prepare exam timetables, seating plans, and room allocations.
Liaise with teaching staff, students, and external examination boards to ensure smooth operations.
Manage exam materials, including secure storage, distribution, and collection.
Ensure examination venues meet required standards, including equipment and accessibility.
Oversee exam invigilation staff, providing guidance and support where required.
Handle post-exam processes, including results collection, data entry, and certificate distribution.
Maintain confidentiality and security of examination information at all times.
Requirements
Previous experience as an Exams Officer or in a similar role is essential.
Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and exam management systems.
Understanding of examination regulations and safeguarding requirements.
