Job Title: School Cook
Location: Prestwich, Manchester
Hours: 7:00am - 2:00pm (Monday to Friday)
Pay: £17-£19 per hour
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Long-Term

We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable School Cook to join a welcoming school in Prestwich, Manchester. This is a long-term opportunity with consistent hours, ideal for someone looking for stability in a rewarding school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing and cooking nutritious, balanced meals for students and staff
• Ensuring all food hygiene and health & safety standards are met
• Managing kitchen cleanliness and organisation
• Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering supplies
• Catering for dietary requirements and allergens
• Working efficiently to deliver meals on time within a busy school setting

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a cook, ideally within a school or similar setting
• Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or above preferred)
• Knowledge of allergens and dietary requirements
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable, punctual, and organised
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
