School Cook

Location: Wirral and surrounding areas
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 2:00pm
Pay: £17.50 per hour

We are currently seeking an experienced School Cook to work in primary and secondary school settings across the Wirral and surrounding areas.

The Role

• Preparing and cooking nutritious meals in line with school menus

• Managing kitchen operations during service times

• Ensuring food hygiene, health & safety, and allergen regulations are followed

• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness within the kitchen

• Working independently and as part of a wider school team

Requirements

• Previous experience as a school cook or in a similar catering role (essential)

• Minimum Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (essential)

• Must be willing to obtain an enhanced DBS at own expense if not already on the Update Service

• Must be willing to undergo reference checks

• Reliable, organised, and able to work to tight timeframes
