About the Role:
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking School Cleaner to join a friendly team at a school in Burnley. The successful candidate will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work and can work efficiently, either independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out daily cleaning duties across classrooms, corridors, toilets, offices, and communal areas.
Empty bins, sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish surfaces to a high standard.
Refill hygiene and cleaning supplies where required.
Ensure all cleaning is carried out in line with health and safety and COSHH regulations.
Report any maintenance or safety issues to the Site Supervisor or Business Manager.
Lock and secure areas if required (depending on shift).
Work as part of the wider site team to ensure the school is maintained to the highest standards.
Requirements:
Previous cleaning experience (school or commercial preferred).
Good knowledge of health & safety and cleaning procedures.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply.
A strong work ethic and attention to detail.
