Location: Wirral
Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00am - 2:00pm (20 hours per week)

Rate of Pay: £16.25 per hour

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and reliable School Catering Assistant to support the daily operation of a school kitchen in the Wirral. The role involves food preparation, serving meals, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in line with school and food safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation and serving of school meals

• Supporting the smooth running of the kitchen during service times

• Washing up, cleaning kitchen equipment, and maintaining a clean working environment

• Following food hygiene, health & safety, and COSHH regulations

• Supporting the catering team as required to meet service demands

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience in a kitchen setting is essential
  (School, education, or similar high-volume catering environments strongly preferred)

• Willingness to undergo reference checks

• Willingness to undertake an Enhanced DBS check (cost paid by the candidate)

• Ability to provide proof of Right to Work in the UK

• Good understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
