School Catering Assistant - Liverpool
Rate: £16.25 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00am - 2:00pm
Start Date: ASAP

We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and experienced School Catering Assistant to join a school based in Liverpool. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a school kitchen or a similar catering environment and be confident supporting the smooth running of a busy lunchtime service.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation of meals in line with school menus and dietary requirements.
Serve food to pupils and staff during lunchtime.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness across the kitchen and dining areas.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and follow all food hygiene guidelines.
Assist with washing up, clearing down, and general kitchen duties.
Support the catering team to ensure mealtimes run efficiently and safely.
Requirements
Previous kitchen or catering experience, preferably in a school or similar setting (essential).
Willingness to obtain a DBS certificate (essential).
Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate preferred (not mandatory).
Ability to work well in a team and remain calm during busy periods.
Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards.
