School Caretaker - Temporary (ASAP Start)

Location: Skelmersdale
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm
Pay: £17.50-£18.50 per hour
Contract: Temporary
Start Date: ASAP

We are currently recruiting for an experienced and reliable School Caretaker to join a welcoming school in Skelmersdale on a temporary basis with an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities

• Opening and locking the school premises.
• Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs.
• Ensuring the school site is clean, safe and well maintained.
• Completing routine health and safety checks.
• Setting up rooms for meetings and school events.
• Liaising with contractors and reporting maintenance issues.
• Supporting the day-to-day management of the school site.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a caretaking, facilities or site management role (school experience is desirable).
• Good practical maintenance skills.
• A good understanding of health and safety procedures.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable, or a willingness to obtain one.
• The ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
