Job Title: School Caretaker

Location: Liverpool
Hours: Monday to Friday

• Morning shift: 7:00am - 10:00am

• Afternoon shift: 2:00pm - 6:15pm
  Pay Rate: £18 per hour

Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced School Caretaker to join our team in Liverpool. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the school site is safe, secure, clean, and well maintained throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities

• Opening and securing the school premises at the start and end of the school day

• Carrying out regular health and safety checks across the site

• General maintenance and minor repairs

• Ensuring cleanliness of communal areas and outdoor spaces

• Setting up rooms and facilities for school activities and events

• Monitoring heating, lighting, and alarm systems

• Liaising with school staff and contractors as required

• Responding promptly to any issues that may arise during shifts

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience working in a school or similar setting (e.g. nursery, college, care facility, or public building)

• Strong understanding of health and safety procedures

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

• Reliable, trustworthy, and proactive approach to work

• Willingness to work split shifts Monday to Friday

• Must be willing to complete an enhanced DBS check
