£17-£18 per hour (depending on experience)

We are currently recruiting for School Caretakers to work in schools across Manchester on a full-time, temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and dependable caretaker or site supervisor looking for a long-term role within a school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Opening and securing school premises, including alarm systems

• Carrying out general maintenance, repairs, and basic DIY tasks

• Ensuring the school site is safe, secure, clean, and well maintained

• Completing routine health and safety checks

• Managing contractors and reporting maintenance issues

• Grounds maintenance and general site upkeep

• Supporting with room set-ups for school events and activities

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Previous caretaker, site supervisor, or facilities experience

• Good practical and maintenance skills

• A strong understanding of health and safety

• The ability to work independently and manage a varied workload

• A reliable, flexible, and proactive approach

• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
