About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and proactive School Caretaker to join a school in Warrington on a full-time, temp-to-perm basis. This is a key role in ensuring the school site is safe, secure, and well maintained for pupils, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
Opening and closing the school premises, including setting alarms
Carrying out general maintenance, repairs, and basic DIY tasks
Ensuring the site is safe, secure, clean, and well presented at all times
Managing health and safety checks, including fire alarms, emergency lighting, and risk assessments
Overseeing contractors and liaising with external service providers
Grounds maintenance, including litter picking and basic outdoor upkeep
Supporting with room set-ups for school events and activities
Monitoring stock levels and reporting maintenance issues promptly
Requirements
Previous experience in a caretaker, site supervisor, or facilities role (school experience desirable but not essential)
Good practical and DIY skills
Strong understanding of health and safety procedures
Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload
Reliable, flexible, and proactive approach
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
