Are you an experienced and dynamic School Business Manager looking to make a real difference in a specialist educational setting?

The School is a vibrant and nurturing SEN school, dedicated to supporting children and young people with a range of complex needs, including autism, learning difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health challenges. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated School Business Manager to join our passionate team and help us continue delivering exceptional education and care.


About the Role:

As our School Business Manager, you will be a key member of the senior leadership team, leading on all aspects of school business management including:

  • Finance - Budget planning, financial monitoring, reporting and ensuring best value.

  • HR - Overseeing recruitment, staff contracts, and personnel matters.

  • Premises Management - Ensuring the school environment is safe, compliant, and fit for purpose.

  • Health & Safety - Maintaining the highest standards across all school operations.

  • Administration & ICT - Leading efficient office systems and supporting the use of technology in school operations.

Your role will be central to the smooth and effective running of the school, allowing our teaching and support staff to focus on what they do best - supporting our incredible students.


About You:

We are looking for someone who is:

βœ… Experienced in school business management (preferably with a DSBM, CSBM or equivalent qualification)
βœ… Knowledgeable of the financial and regulatory environment of education, especially within SEN settings
βœ… A strong communicator with excellent organisational skills
βœ… Confident working at a strategic level and as part of a collaborative leadership team
βœ… Passionate about supporting children with additional needs and committed to inclusive education

Experience in an SEN or specialist education setting is highly desirable, but not essential.
