We are seeking an experienced and highly organised School Administrator to join the busy office team of a high school in Chorley. The successful candidate must have prior experience working in a school office and will play a key role in the smooth day-to-day running of the school's administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities
Provide efficient administrative support to the senior leadership team, teaching staff, and wider school community.
Manage front-office duties, including handling enquiries from parents, visitors, and external agencies in a professional and welcoming manner.
Maintain accurate pupil records using school management systems (e.g. SIMS/Arbor/Bromcom), ensuring compliance with GDPR.
Support attendance, admissions, and safeguarding administration, following school policies and procedures.
Process correspondence, reports, and data returns, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced school environment.
Assist with financial administration, including purchase orders, invoicing, and budget tracking where required.
Work collaboratively with the existing office team to support the efficient running of the school office.
Essential Requirements
Proven experience working in a school office environment (essential).
Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Confident IT skills, including Microsoft Office and school MIS systems.
A professional, calm, and flexible approach, particularly in a busy high school setting.
Desirable
Experience supporting senior leadership teams.
Knowledge of school finance or HR administration.
Previous responsibility for supervising or mentoring administrative staff.
