About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive School Receptionist to join a welcoming and busy school office team starting this September. This is a key front-facing role requiring excellent communication, organisation, and administrative skills. As the first point of contact for parents, visitors, and staff, you will play a vital role in maintaining the smooth running of the school's daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet visitors, staff, and students in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer and direct phone calls and emails efficiently
- Manage the school's visitor sign-in system and ensure safeguarding procedures are followed
- Maintain accurate pupil records using SIMS
- Assist with attendance monitoring and pupil data entry
- Provide general administrative support to staff and senior leadership
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
- Support with first aid and welfare duties as required (training can be provided)
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a school environment
- Proficient in using SIMS (School Information Management System)
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
- A calm, professional, and flexible approach to work

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
