Residential Support Worker - Band 4

We are currently recruiting an experienced and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join a dedicated team in Northumberland, providing high-quality care and support to young people in a residential setting.
As a Residential Support Worker, you will:
- Provide consistent, compassionate care in a secure and nurturing environment.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of young people at all times.
- Build positive, trusting relationships that encourage growth and resilience.
- Support young people with daily routines, learning, and independent living skills.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, education, physical and mental health teams, and external professionals to create personalised care plans.
- Maintain clear and accurate records, always upholding safeguarding standards.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience working in a residential or supported living environment, ideally with vulnerable children or young people.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and trauma-informed care principles.
- Able to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work a rota pattern including early, late, sleep-in shifts, weekends, and bank holidays.
Contract length: 3-6 months (with expectation of an ongoing extension)
Rate of Pay: £16.25 per hour
Hours: Full time, 37 hours each week. (Shift Rota Basis)
