Rent Accounting and Finance Officer
My client are a Local Authority in North West London who are looking to appoint a Rent Accounting & Finance Officer on a Interim Basis.
About the role:
Based in North West London (Hybrid):
The role purpose is to provide efficient and accurate administration of the rent accounting processes, financial procedures, such as raising invoices, production and dispatching of energy bills in line with Brent Council policies and procedures
What's on offer:
- Salary: £20.74 - £27.74 per hour, inside IR35.
*negotiable based on experience

- Hybrid working (2/3 days in Office pw)
- Contract type: Contract (36 hrs a week)
- Hours: 09:00 -17:00 Monday to Friday
Responsibilities:
- Carry out any actions required on mixed tenure income collection accounts and provide clear information to internal and external customers.
- To process and monitor any increases or decreases to the rent debit, ensuring that all financial information is fully checked and accurate.
- Provide efficient and professional housing and financial administration support to the housing service.
About you:
Knowledge required of at least one of the following:
- Rent accounting processes.
- Direct Debit mandate system.
- Housing Benefit understanding.
- Social housing rent policy
