We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Teaching Assistant to join a Pupil Referral Unit in Longsight. This is a full-time role with immediate start, supporting children who require additional help to thrive in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and group support to pupils with diverse learning needs.

• Assist with behaviour management and support emotional wellbeing.

• Help in creating and implementing educational plans tailored to individual students.

• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to monitor progress and adapt strategies.

• Ensure a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment.

What we are looking for:

• Previous experience working with children, particularly those with behavioural and/or special educational needs.

• A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.

• Strong communication skills, both with students and colleagues.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• An understanding of how to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
