Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a PRS Lettings Negotiator for a Local Authority Client in Southwest London.
In this role, you will negotiate with landlords to secure affordable private rented accommodation and support residents into safe, sustainable tenancies.
Duties:
- Negotiate with private landlords to secure affordable, suitable rented accommodation.
- Inspect properties to ensure they meet safety, quality, and suitability standards.
- Match prospective tenants to available properties and support them through the letting process.
- Promote and administer the Council's Private Renting Scheme, maintaining accurate records and compliance.
Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:
- Experience working within the private rented sector, housing services, or homelessness prevention.
- Proven ability to negotiate with landlords or agents to secure accommodation.
- Experience assessing property standards, suitability, or housing-related compliance.
- Experience supporting clients or tenants, including advice on benefits, tenancy sustainment, or housing options.
What's on offer:
Salary: £30ph
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 4-6 months minimum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
