We are currently working in partnership with a Local Authority to recruit an experienced Personal Advisor to join their Children in Care Unit in Nottingham.

In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting young people in care, helping them navigate key transitions and achieve positive outcomes. You will work closely with young people to understand their individual needs, contribute to holistic assessments, and develop, review, and implement effective Pathway Plans as they prepare to move on from care. The role also involves providing tailored advice, guidance, and practical support to meet each young person's unique circumstances.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieving Positive Outcomes: Deliver tailored advice and support to help children and young people in care thrive.

  • Assessment & Planning: Participate in assessments and contribute to the development and review of pathway plans to ensure appropriate services are in place.

  • Preparing for Independence: Support young people in their transition to adulthood by implementing and reviewing detailed pathway plans.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working with young people in a care setting.

  • A full UK driving licence.

  • The right to work in the UK.
