Pension Fund Accounts Officer - Interim
Spencer Clarke Group are working with a North London Borough to appoint an Interim Pension Fund Accounts Officer to support the financial management and reporting of the Council's Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS).
This role sits within the pension fund finance team and will focus on pension fund accounting, investment reconciliations and financial reporting for a multi-billion pound fund.

The Role
Reporting to the Investment & Accounting Manager, you will support the financial integrity of the Pension Fund.
Key responsibilities:
Supporting the production of the Pension Fund Annual Report & Accounts.
Managing complex reconciliations and pension fund ledger balances.
Monitoring investment transactions and preparing reports for fund managers.
Clearing pension fund suspense accounts and maintaining strong audit trails.
Liaising with investment managers, custodians and pension administrators.
Preparing working papers and supporting internal and external audit queries.
About You
You will ideally have:
Experience working with Local Government Pension Schemes (LGPS).
Previous Local Authority pension fund accounting experience.
Strong reconciliation and financial reporting skills.
Understanding of CIPFA reporting requirements and pension fund accounting.
