Pastoral Teaching Assistant - Manchester Area

Location: Manchester
Salary: £106 - £120 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP (once clearance checks are completed)
Contract: Full-time / Term-time

We are currently looking for a dedicated and compassionate Pastoral Teaching Assistant to join schools across the Manchester area. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting young people with their wellbeing, behaviour and personal development.

You will work closely with pupils who may require additional pastoral support, helping them overcome barriers to learning and ensuring they feel safe, supported and engaged in school.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide pastoral and emotional support to pupils

• Support students with social, emotional or behavioural needs

• Promote positive behaviour and wellbeing within the school

• Work alongside teachers, safeguarding leads and pastoral teams

• Build positive relationships with pupils to support their development

Requirements

• Experience working with children or young people (education, youth work, care, coaching or similar)

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• A patient, supportive and empathetic approach

• Enhanced Child and Adult DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one through us

• An up-to-date CV with full employment history (including any gaps explained)

• Ability to work effectively within a school team
