Paediatric Occupational Therapist (Relocation to Jordan)

Location: Jordan
Salary: From £1,500 net per week, depending on experience
Hours: Up to 50 hours per week over 5 days
Accommodation: Live-out accommodation provided nearby

We are working in partnership with a client who are seeking an experienced Paediatric OT to join a highly regarded family in Jordan, supporting their affectionate 4-year-old son who has autism, speech, and developmental delays. You'll work closely with a dedicated SEN nanny (also a qualified Speech Therapist) and liaise with visiting UK specialists to help him thrive.

This is an exciting opportunity for an OT with strong sensory integration expertise to make a real difference in a child's daily life, within a collaborative and supportive household..

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed assessments to identify sensory processing needs, fine and gross motor skills, and functional abilities.
  • Develop and deliver engaging, play-based therapy programmes that promote sensory regulation, attention, and participation in everyday routines.
  • Support the development of fine motor skills (e.g., pencil grasp, hand strength, coordination) and gross motor abilities (e.g., balance, posture, motor planning).
  • Facilitate independence in self-care activities such as dressing, feeding, and toileting.
  • Adapt the child's environment to optimise learning, engagement, and comfort.
  • Collaborate daily with the SEN nanny/speech therapist to integrate therapy goals seamlessly into the child's routines and play.
  • Monitor progress, adjust programmes as needed, and provide guidance to parents and caregivers for ongoing development at home.

About the Child
The little boy is gentle, affectionate, and loves swimming, running, playing, and exploring the park. His main challenges are in communication and sensory processing, so an OT who is patient, creative, and skilled at engaging young children will thrive in this role.

The household language is English, so fluency is essential. The family travels frequently, and the successful candidate must enjoy travel and be flexible with short-notice arrangements.

Requirements

  • Degree-qualified Paediatric OT with 5+ years' experience.
  • Strong background in autism & sensory processing.
  • Enhanced DBS & Paediatric First Aid.
  • Minimum 1-year contract commitment.
  • Fluent English & willingness to travel with the family.

Package

  • From £1,500 net per week (DOE).
  • Live-out accommodation near the family home.
  • Visa sponsorship.
  • Annual return flight & 30 days paid leave.
  • Basic medical insurance.
