Senior Operations Manager - Family Assessment & Learning Disability Services

Location: Staffordshire
Salary: £70,000 (reviewed as services grow)
Hours: Full-time (flexible initially)

We are working on behalf of a well-established private care provider in Staffordshire to recruit a senior, experienced leader to take responsibility for the development and operational oversight of two newly established services: a Family Assessment Centre and a Learning Disability Service.

This is a bespoke and newly created role within an organisation that already operates a successful portfolio of children's residential homes. Due to continued growth and service diversification, our client is seeking a high-calibre professional to take ownership of these specialist provisions and support their ongoing development.

The Role

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Family Assessment Centre and Learning Disability service

  • Support service development, growth, and regulatory compliance

  • Work closely with senior leadership to shape and embed best practice

  • Play a key role in establishing systems, structures, and standards

  • Initially hands-on, with scope to evolve as services expand

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience within Family Assessment services (essential)

  • Experience within Learning Disability services (highly desirable)

  • Strong leadership, operational, and regulatory knowledge

  • Comfortable working in a developing service environment

  • Passionate about quality, outcomes, and service excellence

Candidates with strong Family Assessment experience alone will be considered.

What's on Offer

  • Salary around £70,000, with review as services grow

  • Flexible approach to hours initially, moving to full-time

  • Opportunity to shape and lead new services from an early stage

  • Informal initial discussion (Teams or in person) prior to formal process

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced professional seeking a senior, influential role within a growing and values-led organisation.

For a confidential, informal conversation, please call 01772 954200 and send your CV .
