Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Neighbourhood Housing Officer for a Local Authority Client in Gateshead.
In this role, you will be the key local contact for tenants, providing support, advice, and proactive management to sustain tenancies and create safe, thriving communities.
Duties:
- Support tenants and sustain tenancies through advice, visits, and early intervention.
- Investigate and resolve anti-social behaviour and tenancy issues
- Manage property and estate standards, ensuring safe and well-maintained neighbourhoods.
- Work with partners and services to provide support for vulnerable residents.
Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:
- Experience supporting vulnerable customers and handling challenging situations.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and partnership working skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload under pressure.
- Competent ICT skills, including Microsoft Office.
What's on offer:
Salary: £19ph
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
