Move-On & Resettlement Officer

Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Move-On & Resettlement Officer for a Local Authority Client in Berkshire.

In this role, you will support households in temporary accommodation to secure long-term housing, promote independence, and ensure successful resettlement outcomes.

Duties:

• Help households secure long-term Private Rented Sector accommodation, identify realistic housing options, and overcome barriers to moving on.
• Manage caseloads, develop move-on plans, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
• Support access to employment, training, and skills opportunities, promote financial stability, and provide guidance for families and children.
• Ensure move-on activity meets statutory requirements, discharge homelessness duties, and identify and escalate safeguarding concerns.

Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

• Supporting vulnerable households and providing housing or resettlement assistance.
• Managing cases and developing clear move-on plans.
• Negotiating, acquiring, and securing properties in the Private Rented Sector.
• Collaborating with partners, internal teams, and external agencies.

What's on offer:

Salary: £30ph

*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
