Maths Teacher - Secondary SEMH School - Bolton
Start Date: September 2026
We are seeking a passionate and resilient Maths Teacher to join a dedicated secondary SEMH school in Bolton from September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a specialist setting, supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs to achieve both academically and personally.

The Role:

  • Full-time Maths Teacher position
  • Teaching Maths across Key Stages within a secondary SEMH setting
  • Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs
  • Supporting pupils to develop confidence, resilience and positive learning behaviours
  • Working closely with support staff, parents and external professionals
  • Creating a safe, structured and supportive classroom environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
  • Experience teaching Maths at secondary level
  • Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships
  • Experience working with pupils with SEMH needs or within alternative provision is desirable
  • A patient, flexible and nurturing approach
  • A genuine commitment to helping young people overcome barriers to learning
