Maths Teacher - Secondary SEMH School - Bolton
Start Date: September 2026
We are seeking a passionate and resilient Maths Teacher to join a dedicated secondary SEMH school in Bolton from September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a specialist setting, supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs to achieve both academically and personally.
The Role:
- Full-time Maths Teacher position
- Teaching Maths across Key Stages within a secondary SEMH setting
- Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs
- Supporting pupils to develop confidence, resilience and positive learning behaviours
- Working closely with support staff, parents and external professionals
- Creating a safe, structured and supportive classroom environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
- Experience teaching Maths at secondary level
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships
- Experience working with pupils with SEMH needs or within alternative provision is desirable
- A patient, flexible and nurturing approach
- A genuine commitment to helping young people overcome barriers to learning
